I have a CL program that duplicates all my offsite and onsite tapes for brms.  As one of the last things that the job does is it saves the media information.

SAVMEDIBRM DEV(*MEDCLS) MEDPCY(MEDIOFF) OPTION(*OBJ) +
             ENDOPT(*REWIND)

But every time it gets to this line it errors out, saying that there is no device of *medcls.   But then if I run the exact same command from the command line, or submit it, it works perfectly.  I also tried putting in a call to another program with this in it, and it still doesn't work, but if I just call the other program separately it works fine.

What could be causing it to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris
