I'm not sure if you realize this, but that message doesn't necessarily mean
that it's MS' software at fault. Many of those errors are due to memory heap
corruption, which doesn't necessarily manifest itself as an error in the
offending application. It's for that very reason that these types of
problems are notoriously difficult to track down. Of course, the OS should
protect against such errors. Win9x flavours don't, and even NT didn't do a
very good job of it. W2K is substantially better in this area.
