One of the areas you want to look at is the WRKSHRPOOL command. You can
change the min/max size for your various pools so that no pool gets too
small, and no pool hogs the entire system (there are lots of parameters
there [f11 to see them all and read the help!]). You have three pools
on this display that are extremely small for this size system and number
of pools. Maybe you should combine them into a single pool. Also, what
pool are the system jobs running in (QCMN, QSYSWRK, QSERVER)? If you
have pools carved out, they should not be in *BASE. In fact, if you
carve out pools, you should get as much as possible out of *BASE. To
get a complete picture of your system, I would need a WRKSYSSTS for
about 5-10 minutes elapsed time, WRKSBS, and all screens of WRKSHRPOOL,
along with a description of what kind of work is being done in each non
IBM subsystem. (I know what the IBM stuff does.)

You may need more disk. Disk utilization starts to affect performance
at about 75% utilization, working up gradually to the 90% level and then
having a sharp affect on system performance. (the system spends more
time deciding where to put something than processing user tasks!).

Good luck.
