Back in the middle of June this year we upgraded from V3R7 to V4R3.
Immediately we noticed we were having trouble printing via TCP/IP.
We're using Netmanage's (previously Netsoft) NS/Portfolio for AS/400
and unfortunately dropped support with them. I called IBM software
support and they gave me a few PTF's to load. I loaded them and they
didn't work.

I had a work around by switching our users to connect using Netware
for SAA. I was desperate and even willing to dump the Netsoft product,
so I started looking into Client Access Express but found it to be really
slow.

When contacted by the Client Access folks from IBM (to see how I was
doing) I told them I had loaded the latest cumulative (always use the long
form for that word) package for Client Access. I wasn't real thrilled with
the speed and they told me there was a PTF (SF60283) for reverse DNS
lookup.

After loading the PTF, it magically fixed our Netsoft problem. I'm really
upset because I feel that with a little more research IBM could have
saved me a lot of grief (1 month and a 1/2 later). I was told that if you're
ever in doubt about the response you're getting you can ask for a duty
manager.

I hope this helps anyone that is having a problem printing via TCP/IP or
slowness with cae400 or any other connectivity products you may be
using.
