That's what makes it an AS/400! It may run VERY SLOWLY, but never an orange light or a hard lockup. Those days were gone (I thought) with V3.x and certainly with V4.x. I do wonder, when someone says their 400 locked up, if it wasn't still slowly churning thru the code. Even a runaway pgm is still running. Sometimes it is faster to IPL, but not necessarily required. Hard lockup is still a bug. Never Reboot!
