Diana,

You didn't include a configuration from your printer description, but I suspect
that you have specified PRTERRMSG = *INQ. Try changing this parameter to
*INFO.

We are having a problem with AS/400 printing when our HP printer has a low
toner message on the LED display. The spool jobs for the printer wait with
a CPD337F message and hold up all print jobs (even network jobs). If we
stop the AS/400 printer or hold the AS/400 print jobs, the network print
jobs continue printing as usual. Since the toner is not completely out, we
would prefer not to replace the toner cartridge until then. At that point,
the printer will have a toner is out message on the LED display. How can we
get our AS/400 jobs to print when the toner is low?

BTW, the TCP/IP printer was created using device description. It is
connected via ethernet and OS/400 is at V4R3.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.
