Pretty simple solution, they had me run a command that settles all the programs to the registry infos. here's the command :
CALL PGM(QTCP/QTMFEXIT) PARM('*INSTALL ') ==> Don't forget the two blank spaces after "*INSTALL".
That's all and it works fine now !!
They told me this problem comes up often when upgrading to V4R4. we'll see if it's inconditionnal when we'll upgrade one of our customer that is running under V4R3. and his FTP server is up right now. IF it goes down after the upgrade, i guess we'll have to run the command on their system too..

First we perform an IPL every sturday night so all servers are shutted down and restarted. Second, I've compared the diagnostic with the registry(WRKREGINF), and just found out that the diagnostic refers to the exit point format TCPL0200 which doesn't exist in the registry. Third, I've looked in the manuals and found that the exit point format for the FTP server could be either TCPL0100 or TCPL0200. But there doen't seem to be any existing exit poitn named TCPL0200.Finally, I assumed that I should get QTMFCOM1 to call the QIBM_QTMF_SVR_LOGON via the TCPL0100 exit point format instead of the TCPL0200 format. Now, how am I supposed to do this? I have strictly no idea, I've called IBM last friday so they could help me on this one.Want me to keep an update on this?Tell me if you want to know the rest of the story and I'll post it on Midrange-l as soon as there are new infos. Thanks to you Matt and Richard !!Pascal Bellerose

I will try to help you figure out what you changed to make it fail. I assume if you can figure that out, you can fix it.The message says that FTP has a registered exit program that is failing. If you recently added one, I suggest that you remove it. Is WRKREGINF the right command?Based on the names (not based on reading the manual) it looks like the failing program is validating the user name and password - doing a server logon. If you can change the FTP request so that it doesn't try to log on, that might help.It appears the there is a problem calling an API. Did you test this?Did you put on a PTF that might have effected format TCPL0200?Did you stop and start host servers STRHOSTSRV & ENDHOSTSRV?did you fix this yet?Richard Jackson
