I would suppose that your PC is running NT. If this is true, then the remote command service cannot use the drive mappings you have set up for your interactive login. I think it will find C:\photo.bat, but it does not know how to find the X drive. Try changing the target file path to use universal naming convention. If X is mapped to the root of the unix drive, it would look something like \\hostname\sharename(or volume)\lal\001--.tif. I don't know exactly what the syntax would be on an SG unix box, but that would work on an NT or Netware server. As an alternative, you can also map the drive with the Net Use command, and then it will be able to find drive X. hth Pete Pete Hall pbhall@execpc.com http://www.execpc.com/~pbhall +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
