I have been using Synon/Cool:2e for 11 years, the last 6 as an independent developer (when it _was_ my money the second purchase, after the AS/400, was a 2e license). I do not think Bill Reger's point can be overemphasised, a CASE tool used properly allows the developers to concentrate on business solutions rather than programming solutions. And maintenance, of which virtually all is change in business requirements, is not only much faster, but tends to be done as a true enhancement rather than a patch on the old code or design. On the whole a CASE tool enables the sort of iterative development that can keep the business' systems matching the business' requirements. AND get it done before those requirements change again. -- Richard Rosenbluth Rose Information Management Co mailto:rose400@pacbell.net +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
