Chris: The 6512 IOP can be configured to support 16 arms in 2 RAID sets. "Handling" 16 arms in a write-intensive environment is another question altogether. Beware: the PCI disk IOPs support a maximum of 15 disk arms. We also mirrored the two internals just like you are. You did not mention which IOP the other 10 drives are attached to, Just the load source which are internal drives. If you have the 6512 it can handle 16 - 6607 drives with two raid sets of 8 drives each. That is what we had on the 510 and brought to our 720. Here is the WRKHDWRSC *STG listing from our 720. It was the same on the 510. Are you also claiming that I have 48gig of DASD on my 510? If so, could you explain the use of the mirrored DASD. Below you'll find detail information on my IOP. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
