Pretty simple ... Go CMNCFG and start with option 1. This is the "short"
version of configuring a remote controller. You could proably use the
existing line & controller descriptions that was used for the Perl
controller.

The 5494 has one setting for dial vs lease and is fairly simple to set.

To determine "what" method of connection depends on the cable installed
on the box. Here is the list of optional cables.

 ---------------------
                                    Specify Feature Accessory
        Type Code Code Part Number
        ---- ---- ---- -------
    EIA RS-232 D, V.24/V.28 1850 3050 02F9660
    EIA RS-232 D, V.24/V.28-Japan 1851 3051 02F9661
    EIA RS-232 D, V.24/V.28-Germany 1852 3052
    CCITT V.35 1853 3053 02F9676
    CCITT V.35-France 1854 3054
    CCITT X.21 1855 3055 02F9670

In order to do point to point "dial" you will need 1850.
