Ted >Does anyone have any examples of how to setup dial-up networking to >make a connection on the QESLINE (ECS line)? Is this even do-able? I used the example in the "More cool things than Ever..." redbook to set up a PPP link. It also was surprisingly easy. As I have a very old modem for the ECS line I shoved another modem in there for dial in and used the ECS Line cable and phone line in my "dial in" modem. On those occasions I want to use the ECS line, I just switch over the cables and vary the PP line off and vary the ECS one on. Vice Versa to return to normal operating state. The only trick I dounf was adding a STRTCTPTP command to my startup program to make sure the PPP line was available after I started TCP. None of the check boxes in Oops Navigator seemed to provide this effect. Hope this helps Cheers Evan Harris +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
