The 3742 had the same number of lines for entry as a 3741. You initialized the
8 inch diskettes with a sector size of 128 bytes.

Thanks everyone for the trip down memory lane...

I wish I had 5 cents for every time I had a tape that I couldn't
read because it was recorded at 3200 bpi on a 9347.

Here is my question. Can anyone remember if the 3742 Dual Data
Station had two full input lines of 40 characters for each of the
operators? I know the single operator 3741 Data Station had 3 lines
of 40 characters and 8 characters on the fourth line. My memory is
that the 3742 "split" the available display space between the
two operators, who sat facing each other across the little desk
gizmo. If it was actually "split" each would have a total of 64
characters. 40 + 20 + 4. But I think each operator had at least
two lines of 40 characters.

I have a couple of 3741 Data Stations in the Gig Harbor IBM GSD
Museum. One has yellow color panels and the other has red. The
red one also has a bisynch communication adapter to connect it
to the System 3/15D.

Let's see if we can resolve this in thirty responses or less...
