CRTPF lets me specify 170 characters Booth, I like Larry's choice "a" the best, but if you really want the s/36 experience, do the following: 1. Create a source file: QS36PRC (this will store s/36 procedures.) 2. Use your favorite editor (STRPDM?) to create a member that will contain the BLDFILE command to create your file. The source type is OCL36. 3. Now you can either use option 16 within PDM to run the S/36 procedure to build your file, or you can use the STRS36PRC command with the name of the procedure defined in step 2. Enjoy.
