  • Subject: ODBC + Stored Procedures in Multiple Libraries = Trouble

We are using stored procedures for the majority of our Client/Server stuff.
One problem that we have is that if we have the stored procedure defined in
multiple libraries (SPECIFIC_SCHEMA) when we ask for the parameters we get
the parameters x times. Now this is not too big of a problem with Delphi
because you can delete the extra parameters but in Powerbuilder it is a
"whole nuther ball of wax". This problem even occurs if you fully qualify
the name. The only way that we have been able to address this problem is to
delete all but one of the stored procedure definitions then hook up the
DataWindow and then we can recreate the rest of the stored procedures....
All in all an unpleasant process. Now as to why my client wants to use
powerbuilder only they can tell...
