Hi Folks, I believe it was earlier this year (?) that IBM came out with the ability to enter a service call for a printer via a website (http://www.printers.ibm.com/). It is pretty neat. You can enter all of the information, track what is going on and add information to be sent to the CE or Field Manager. That said, it is one of the SLOWER sites I have hit (I have T1 access) so I thought I'd drop them a note about that. I notice a "Service Direct Help" link and clicked on that (http://www.servicedirectsupport.com/) I get a window with the following: "This site is to help you with Service Direct. All the help that you possibly will need will be located at this site. We will be adding all the upcoming enhancements. If you have any questions please send an E-mail to Ltaylor@us.ibm.com." WOW - check out that SECOND sentence !!! Down the right side there are other links and I see "Internet Anomalies" and clicked on that (http://www.servicedirectsupport.com/noname.html). You have GOT to read this. *** Everyone with a website should read this/use this !!! *** It's a "blame EVERYONE else" page to beat ALL other "blame EVERYONE else" pages !!! I know much of this is true, I've just never seen it presented this way. And it is rather ironic in light of the miserable response time of the site ;-) Chuck +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
