As I mentioned above I need to work with the 2001 configuration or WRKHTTPCFG, but I am wondering if through this we can set it up to map a "url", for lack of a better term, internally so our employees do not have to enter the IP address. > You speak of resolve... The entry of the IP address is required because you don't have an entry in the client browser machine's hosts file or a DNS server running in the network with the name and address of the host. The hosts file can get you started, but you will have to set one up on every client machine. For testing, it works well, but for full functionality, the DNS is the way to go. The DNS setup on your own, private, intranet, using the 400, can be an adventure, but as long as the DNS is not pointed to by another DNS on the Internet and does not reference another DNS on the Internet, then you can have a lot of *fun* with it. ;-) That is to say, if your network is isolated from the Internet, then go for it. If it is connected to the Internet, then 1- you may already have a DNS through your ISP that you could have configured, or 2- you may have a DNS in house somewhere that can be configured. Just remember that experience and care are required for Internet connected DNS servers. =========================================================== R.
