I have never seen it done with any real success. If you want this kind of 
flexibility, you should really check out the things you can do with SEQUEL from 
Advanced Systems Concepts...www.asc-as400.com
You can pass it all kinds of parms through simple prompt screens and your cl 
program. I've been a user for nearly 10 years.
