Gentlemen: I just picked this up tonight and wanted to give you 2 cents worth... 5769-AC1 through 3 are free with the current release. Why not get 5769-AC3? None of our clients have had to sign anything but the license indicates that it is export restricted. (At least one of the languages does!) If you are planning on using SSL, MAKE SURE YOUR BUSINESS PARTNER gets you 5769-CE3 (CE1 & 2 are the less secure ones.) Don't forget...it's kind of a hassle to get it later. If you're upgrading make sure that you select 5769-SS1 option 34 (Digital Certificate Manager) as well. You'll need a certificate for installing SSL. Of course, don't forget 5769-TC1 and DG1 and XE1... There is a readbook that discusses installation of SSL for V4R4M0...SG24-5191-00 It is quite informative and I'm glad I purchased the hardcopy one... By the way...SSL appears to work quite well with both our interactive signons and our print sessions. I've checked an SST trace and there's nothing to be seen! (Of course, I haven't matched the protocol against the SSL stuff and made sure that the key exchange is proper... I'll leave that up to somebody else.) We even made SSL a requirement in our office...port 23 is no longer used for telnet. You MUST USE ssl on 992...
