James,

I have the C++ code to get source members from the host to the PC. It is
included in CodeStudio (www.rpgiv.com/codestudio to download the program).
It will also download any AS/400 file, but the format FTP uses, doesn't
allow you to expand Packed Fields during the xfer. I'm currently researching
if a program can be created on the PC to read the transferred packed fields
and turn them into real data.

Has anyone written a VB app that FTP files from an AS/400? I have been
playing around with some code and most of the winsock API stuff passes back
bad data because I can't pass NAMEFMT info to the AS/400 and it returns bad
directory listings. Does someone have some sample code? Or if someone is
working on something similar I'd be happy to share ideas/code/etc with
them.
