Al - In our case, we use a Seagull 5250 screen scraper product to connect via Telnet... Each user can have multiple sessions. Connection devices are defined via AutoConfig because the Seagull product doesn't support device naming. Therefore if a session ends abnormally, the user will most likely reconnect with a different device name. I appreciate everyone's input on this subject... I believe I'm going to use our job scheduling product to schedule a process that will do: RMVM FILE(FILE_LIB/FILE_NAME) MBR(*ALL) This job will run on the weekend when the application is quiesced, just prior to backup.
