Check out these parameters on the SBMJOB command. I am not sure of the
settings, but you could play around to get just what you need. Same parameters
are on the JOBD.

Subject: Minimize Joblog - Chad Walsingham

Question submitted to the list for Chad Walsingham:
- ---------------------------------------------------

I have written a CL that monitors a connection to our system by a ping
command. The job is set to run 24x7 in the background and take action
if the connection is ever lost.

After it has run for a few days it creates a MONSTER joblog.

Is there any command or step I can put in the CL to keep the job from
creating a joblog at all? If the job is ended I will be the one to do it,
so there is no real need for the joblog.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chad
