Ops, this message got away from me, I hit the enter key by accident.

Use the century field as well, and then convert the existing field by using a 
result
field into YYMMDD Then you can use both fields to sort with.  You could 
concatenate
the century field, to the new date field, but it will not look right when 
displayed.
