Way back in 1997/8 I ran the original Volano bench marks on the AS/400 (it was running the beta version of the native Java, as opposed to the original version of Java for OS/400 which was an emulator) and documented them on the News/400 website in the Java forum. At that time, the AS/400 could only manage *10* messages per second vs. 7500 or so using WinNT. But at least the AS/400 has managed to improve so much. --phil +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
