If I remember correctly, the last time that IBM changed the algorithm for 
the pf/lf so that change to the DDS to recompile the file will not cause a 
level check.  Before you do this change to your biggest pf with 18 
logicals, I would suggest that you do a test on a tiny file with few programs.
