Hi Martin

I have done a lot of work on this. I know this might be a silly
question but what version of Windows are you using?

Subject: Database exit points/exit programs (ODBC, SQL, QZDASOINIT)

Hi all.

I'm having trouble with my first attempt at using exit programs.

I have written an exit program for the database exit points. The
intention is to log incoming SQL statements, so that I can get an idea
of what is being sent by ODBC. After an *extremely* long time searching
through the manuals I eventually found the parameter information that I
needed, and wrote the program.

I then registered it with each of the database exit points, QIBM_QZDA_*.
The program should determine which point it has been called from and log
information accordingly.

However, nothing I can do seems to get the program to run. I ended and
restarted the database server with ENDHOSTSVR *DATABASE and STRHOSTSVR
*DATABASE. I even changed the "Exit Program Number" of my exit program
to 1 at each exit point (I had entered it as 10 initially, thinking that
seemed like good practice; then I read somewhere that the database
servers always look for program 1) and stopped and restarted the server
again. But it never executes (the program has a blank last used date,
for extra evidence).

What more do I have to do? Stop and restart QSERVER? IPL?

TIA,

Martin.
