i got one of those too.  it's still in the mail pile, hasn't made it to
the circular file yet.  only because i've been out of town and well, you
get the drift.. 

several years ago, i got my first 'who's who' letter.  i paid for the
book and a plaque, (i think it was about $300), and never received it. 
so i've never taken any of those letters seriously since.
