David, I might be a bit confused about internet connections, but AFAIK, unless you have a static IP address, each time you connect it changes. I agree that there is an exposure risk, but if each time I connect I am assigned a new IP address, it would be a fluke that a hacker IP address cruncher happen to hit upon mine on any given day. Basically I'm a moving target. Now, I'm working from dialup knowledge, so does this all go away with a cable connection? I'd love the speed, but not the risk you speak of. Is this also true of DSL?
