Bob, what area are you in?  Does your company have a "reputation" among
AS/400 professionals?  Probably not, but around here there are several
AS/400 shops that people in-the-know avoid like the plague.

Also, when was "the last time"?  The Y2K issue dropped the market in our
area (S.E. Michigan) to a slow crawl.  From what I could tell, things
started slowing down last fall, dropped to darned near zero in December &
January, and started picking up again after that.  Even now, the activity
seems to be slower than normal.

If you subscribe to the MidrangeJobs-L list, you've already seen how many
people treat ads with little or no information.  You know, the "AS/400
Programmer/Analyst, 3 yrs exp., Send resume to:  J. Doe, address, CSZ".  I
would never respond to an ad like that.
