This is the only mention of horizontal (anything) in the manual......
I got curious after responding earlier, so I went to the manual and
found
NO reference to HMI but I did find the following:


 
The HORAMOV (horizontal absolute movement) tag is used to set the
current 
horizontal print position. The host print transform requires the HORAMOV
tag to 
be defined for the AFPDS to ASCII transform. The syntax of this tag is:
 
   :HORAMOV
            VAROFFSET = variable offset in
                        control sequence
            VARLEN    = variable length
            VARTYPE   = HIGHLOW|LOWHIGH|CHRDEC|
                        CHRHEX|CHRAN
            CNVNUM    = conversion ratio
                        numerator
            CNVDEN    = conversion ratio
                        denominator
            DATA      = ASCII control sequence.
