 Hi Dave,

REI is using Symbol hand held devices. They are RF devices that communicate to
an SNC (i.e.PC based, black box type controller) which is TCP/IP connected to
the LAN and the AS400. The Symbol devices look like 5250 Telnet sessions.
You'll need to watch out for the differences in screen size for the Signon
screen and application screens. If you want more info, I can check with our
Industrial Enigneer who works directly with them (send private EMail). Check
WWW.SYMBOL.COM, <http://www.SYMBOL.COM> the pictures on the left side include
the one we use.

I'm looking for a handheld barcode scanner which is also a 5250 terminal.
Thought I'd seen this somewhere but can't find any info on one. Anyone using
one like this or know where I can buy one?

Thanks,
Dave
