Mark, I certainly agree that it's not a good approach to keeping those customers happy. I wonder if IBM or anyone else really has any kind of accurate number for the *M36 users. If your estimate is close, it's definitely another short-sighted move on IBM's part. Dave Shaw Spartan International, Inc. Spartanburg, SC -----Original Message----- From: M. Back to the *M36. SSP is stable. *The M36 is stable. I don't know how many S/36 and *M36 accounts there are out there, but I would venture to say it's significant. My guess is 50K - 100K!! They are paying customers - hardware, software, services and loyalty. Ah yes, loyalty to IBM. How long can IBM jerk these customers around before they run to some other platform? -mark +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
