I believe that in order to do what you want you will have to use a telnet
exit program. There are examples everywhere
I have used the one the IBM put together off of the TechStudio website -->
http://www.as400.ibm.com/tstudio/tech_ref/tcp/telex/telexdwn.htm

Caution you need a "C" compiler.

I haven't found this in a manual, so here goes...

I want to set up an AS/400 for access in our intranet, using standard
tn5250/CA on port 23, with a private IP address. (10.0.1.225 for
illustration)

On the same ethernet card, I want to set up an internet accessible
address, use it for web service, but not have telnet active for that
address.

How do I tell the telnet server to only listen on a particular interface?

RTM is fine if you will identify said manual.

TIA
-Bob Buchanan

P.S. I understand all the security implications, I just want to be able
to do it.
