I do not know if they are still in business under this name since it has been
a while since we got a catalog from them, but the place I would ask first is

SOUTH HILLS DATA COMM 1-800-245-6215
They manufacture the widest range of cable connections & containers I have
seen from any other place ... stackable hubs, converters, conversions between
different types of connection protocols, switches, structured cabling, patch
panels, wireless bridging, immunity from electrical interference, elimination
of cable city, grounding, just every kind of cabling imaginable & every kind
of connection to it you can imagine, other than the computer & peripherals,
wall mount cabinets with ventilation fans, bulk cable & connectors & they
know IBM & AS/400 specifications - describe what you need & they'll design
the solution

Second place to try & I have recently received a catalog from them

http://www.system3x.com ... System 3x/4xx Warehouse seems to carry everything
that anyone might want to connect to AS/400 hardware including peripherals,
but I do not see in their catalog the category of organizing cables, or
placing the CPU etc. in a rack out of the way, like South Comm Data Hills
does, but the fact that it is not in their catalog does not mean they do not
have it - describe what you need & they'll find the vendors that supply a
solution.

3rd place to try & like South Comm Data Hills, it has been a while since I
have seen a catalog from them ... of course it has been over a decade since
we bought anything from them

BLACK BOX 800-321-0746
they are not specifically or may not know AS/400 but we have bought midrange
stuff from them - think of them as being a hardware connect anything to
anything place (including some racks, but not as heavy duty as South Hills
Data Comm), excluding the computer & peripherals - describe what you need &
they'll design the solution.

I also know of places that sell overpriced flimsy "computer furniture" & or
claim to be a warehouse of computer connections but only know micro computer
needs.
