  • Subject: Error when creating stored procedure
  • From: KOKOREV@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have an RPGLE program on AS/400 (OS/400 V4R4) and want to use it like a stored
procedure. But after I try to register it through STRSQL it failed

This is my statement:
CREATE PROCEDURE MYLIB/PG1 (INOUT CHAR(4 ), INOUT CHAR(6 )) LANGUAGE RPGLE
DETERMINISTIC NO SQL
CALLED ON NULL INPUT EXTERNAL NAME MYLIB/PROC1 PARAMETER STYLE
GENERAL WITH NULLS

This is reply:
 SQL system error.

This is Job log:
4 > strsql
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.

      instruction X'0000'.
    SQL system error.

Data mapping errors are of the following:
 Message . . . . : Data mapping error on member SYSRO00001.
 Cause . . . . . : A data mapping error occurred on field DBINFO in record
number 0, record format SYSRO00001, member number 1, in member SYSRO00001
file SYSROUTINE in library QSYS2, because of error code 20. The error codes
   and their meanings follow:

So the fields are:
DBINFO
PARALLEL
FINAL_CALL
SCRATCHPAD
NULL_CALL
EXT_ACTION

Error code is:
20 -- A field that is not null capable could not be set to null.

Can anybody explain me what is wrong with my statement and how can I correct it

Thanks,
Roman Kosichkin (kosichkin@conversbank.ru)

P.S. I also used examples from IBM books and the result was just the same
