Alan, Looks like you're getting close to having the open() API work. Do you want to translate ASCII to EBCDIC? If so, you might try code page 819 rather than 437. Nathan Andelin. <snip> I want it to automatically translate from ECBDIC to ASCII. If I specify O_WRONLY, O_CREAT, O_TRUNC it works but doesn't do the translation. If I specify O_WRONLY, O_CREAT, O_TRUNC, O_TEXTDATA, O_CODEPAGE and specify 437 as my code page, it fails with ERRNO 3021. <end snip> +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
