QLUS stands for Q(prefix) LU(Logical Unit) S(Services).
This is a system job which manages all APPN/APPC sessions.

Thank you Mike. We found it in WRKACTJOB. That is how we knew it existed
(that, and the error messages), and knew it had something to do with the
lines,
but other than that, we can't seem to find any further information on QLUS.
Thank you for the information. At least now, I know I'm not dreaming this
up
and missing something very obvious.

Thanks!

Michele R

not exactly. There is a (sub)system job which runs (see WRKACTJOB)

                            Work with Active Jobs
                                                            10/04/00
CPU %: .0 Elapsed time: 00:00:00 Active jobs: 225
Opt Subsystem/Job User Type CPU % Function Status
     QDBSRV04 QSYS SYS .0 DEQW
     QDCPOBJ1 QSYS SYS .0 EVTW
     QLUS QSYS SYS .0 EVTW
     QPFRADJ QSYS SYS .0 EVTW

This appears to manage vary-on/off of lines etc
Looking at the joblog reveals:

Job . . : QLUS User . . : QSYS Number . . . :
250940

Vary on completed for device DIS.
Vary on completed for device ECS.
Vary on completed for device ELVBROKER.
Vary on completed for device LESLEY.
