Sorry about the delay. Please contact me directly if you need info directly, as
I do not always have time to go through the messages. We currently have one
server on an LPAR running with 750 users, we will migrate our second mail server
over to this LPAR, which will have approximately 1,500 users. These are both
Mail only servers, however we do have NT Notes servers running home grown apps
and databases that will eventually be migrated onto the AS/400 platform.

Be sure you have all of the PTF's applied, and be sure you have a virus scanning
solution also. I will think of anything else I can recommend to you, if you have
any specific questions please feel free to contact me directly (mpatee@abm.com).
The implementation was really smooth for us. Be sure to plan, plan, and plan
some more. That is definitely the key to a successful implementation.

Matt,
How many licenses, and are you using any home-grown Notes apps, or just e-mail?
Lotus has recommended that we replace or 60+ NT servers that support Notes
enterprisewide with a 730 12-way box at our corp HQ, with a 170 DSD, and two
820s
in the field for our three largest remote locations. I am on the AS/400 side,
but I
think we are running over 8,000 Notes clients (4.6.4a), with quite a few Notes
apps. he apps include Personell information, Customer care, Change management,
and
a host of others. I am realy excited about the chance to implement Notes on the
400
in such a grand scale. Now if I can figure out all of the gotchas before
implementation.....
