Can you just FTP it back using the "binary" option. I think this just copies the data without interpretation. Since its EBCDIC now, it will be EBCDIC when it gets on the AS400. If the PC file is fixed length, create the PF on the AS400 first without DDS and FTP into the new file. You can use DSPPFM to check the file contents against the PC file.
