After consulting the IBM Printing Manuals and Redbooks I am still
stumped. When the IBM NP12 printer is set-up as a normal SCS TCP/IP
printer it works fine.

Could the JetDirect Box attachment be mis-interpreting the IPDS data
stream?

Does a JetDirect Box support IPDS?

Should the IPDS Port=TRING parameter under the IPDS MENU be displayed
as part of the NP12 printer configuration? If so, it does not.

Is a TCPIP Configuration Service Table Entry required for Port 5001
on the AS/400?

If you have an IBM NP12 network connected, please forward any
information or configurations that you have working that I can
verify and compare.

Thanks Much!
