Oops! I think I actually added to the confusion. Let me try again. WRKDBF can "undelete" any deleted record from any file but only when accessing the file in *ARRIVAL sequence. The file can have keys (or not) but the access must be sequential (by RRN) for WRKDBF to be able to "see" the deleted records. William K.
