I have also had problems since moving to V4R4. I'm at the latest cum level. 
Since
moving to V4R4 every morning between 8 and 9am all my client sessions disappear
at the user end. If I'm in Network Neighborhood when it happens all the devices
disappear and then reappear a few seconds later. On the user end their screens 
go
blank. Each user must then terminate the session and restart it. On the AS400 
the
sessions don't drop though. It's a weird problem. I am currently working with 
IBM
support to fix the problem.
