If you port master is what I think it is, each port to the printer has an IP
port assigned. TCP/IP port 9100 = port 0, 9101 = port 1 .... That is how
the HP external jet direct works. Each remote device must have the IP
address of the port master with the appropriate TCP/IP port assigned.

Subject: Multi-port printing:

IBM seems to be stumped on this one. I am running V4R4 and am using TCPIP
printing. I have many printers on Jet Directs and they work just fine using
remote outq's and such. I also have many printers on Port Masters which have
multiple TCPIP outputs for one address. It uses IP ports, and I cannot get
these
to work for the life of me. Is anyone out there using this technology? If
you
have made this work or if you know how, please share the secret to life. I
have
had two people working on this for a month with NO results. I would
appreciate
any help you have.
