Why not try just DSPTAP DEV(TAP02) and take the defaults, you can exit the command when you have seen what you need? As for the strange message, your guess is as good as mine but I suspect the date on the label is hosed or at least in a different format than expected.

I am receiving a real strange low-level message when I attempt to do the following command:
DSPTAP DEV(TAP02) LABEL(*ALL) SEQNBR(1) DATA(*LABELS) OUTPUT(*PRINT).
The message is for CPF0946, "Only correct date or time can be converted."
Secondary help on the message reads, "Verify the date or time before trying to do a conversion. Then try the request again, if necessary."
Anyone got any ideas on which date or time this error message is referring to? It appears like the DSPTAP command is successfully execute to printer file QPTAPDSP based spool file and I can successfully retrieve the volume ID.
What brings this item up is that I have a CLP that performs an override on file QPTAPDSP, does the above DSPTAP command, copies the spool file to a database file, and then deletes the override. Between header pages there is a blank page kicking out to the printer for this QPTAPDSP file and I was attempting to research why...
TIA
