I have a customer who has a 6617 IPCS with two 100M ethernet cards. I've configured an NWSD (SERVER2) which uses resource CC02 (which is the one with the 2 LAN adapters - LIN04 with Ethernet port CMN04, LIN05 with Ethernet port CMN05), a LIND (ETHLINE1), set up an interface in CFGTCP to use ETHLINE1, set up an address in CFGTCP (192.16.1.1) and configured Client Access on each PC so that they can connect and get a sign on screen. That all works marvelously. I want to set up a BDC on the NT network, and assign it address 192.16.1.8, using the other NIC in the IPCS. I installed the AS/400 Integration for NT Server and went thru the configuration process. Right off the bat, it wanted me to vary off the CC02, which I did. After going thru all the gyrations, it created a NWSD on the 400 called NTAS400. When I vary it on, I get the NT sign on screen, just as I expect. BUT - I can't vary on SERVER1. The error message tells me that resource CC02 is already varied on (which is correct). In order for the PCs to login to the 400 I have to vary off the NTAS400 server description and vary on the SERVER1 server description. I have obviously misconfigured the NT40 installation (not surprising since it's the first one I've done). How do I configure so that I can have the AS400 on one of the NIC cards, and the NT40 Server on the other, and have both running at the same time? Also, how do I install to use ASP 2 (where we _lots_ of space) instead of ASP 1? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
