Eric,

You could use "selective prompt characters" to limit what the operator
sees and/or can change. In its simplest form you could use

CHGUSRPRF ??USRPRF() ??PASSWORD() ?*STATUS(*ENABLED)

and they would only see those three parameters, with STATUS being
forced to *ENABLED. Note that there is *not* a ? in front of the
command name. Putting ?? in front of a keyword causes the command to
be prompted, and the keyword available for data entry. Using ?* makes
it displayed, but protected. I used it for the STATUS keyword so the
user could enable a profile, but not disable one.

Here is a clip of the brief description of the prefixes available:

¦
+-----------+------------------------------------------------------------¦
¦ ?& ¦ The parameter is not displayed until F9=All parameters

¦

¦
¦ ¦ displayed on the parameter is changed.
¦
+-----------+------------------------------------------------------------¦
¦ ?% ¦ The parameter is not displayed until F9=All parameters

That didn't paste well into the message. Search for "selective
prompting" in the CL Programming manual.

The command prompter is a fairly versatile asset, and selective
prompting can be real useful for cases like this.
