Rob,

Another option would be to sign up for the lists using a different email
address. Then set the "Out of Office" on your main address, but not the
list address.

This has the added advantage of keeping all the list traffic out of your way
unless you want it.

And face it, if you remain subscribed to Midrange-L and go a week without
checking your email, you will probably have 1,400 or so messages waiting for
you.

Regards,
Bob Crothers

Subject: How to handle Out of office message

We are a Domino shop. When I go away, like to COMMON,
I like to use the out of office message. However I realize
that it sends some of you into convulsive fits. I can put
a do not send on it to certain addresses. However, when
I try using the mailing lists it seems to ignore that and
use the original sender of the message. I can't put each
list member in the do not send.

I have three options:

1) Figure out how to get the do not send to work.
2) Don't use the out of office function.
3) Withdraw from the mailing list when I take some time
    away.
4) Get the list managers to trash out of office messages
    without trashing the individual.

Can y'all help me with option 1?
Dave, is option 4 possible?
