Yes, I've ported InfoZip to the AS/400 and have a few people giving it a
try right now. It has a public license so as soon as I get some quirks
nailed down it will be available on the InfoZip web site. I also ported
Gzip to the AS/400. It works, but it only supports one file per archive,
and the ".GZ" extension seems to confuse people. InfoZip is fully
compatible with WinZip and PKZip and I think is just a better choice.
Talk about compression! I'm getting 99.8 percent compression on text
type files (CSV, etc.), and it ain't bad on save files!
