RE: Dumn Terminals (was E-mail from AS/400)

In the case of this software, it doesn't matter.  Most 5250 
applications run the same, regardless of whether it's a 5250 
terminal or 5250 emulation on a PC.  Providing you're not 
using pushbuttons and most don't.  (And I don't want to recover 
that road again so recently traveled on this list.)
They just used the term dumb terminals to mean 5250.

Are there many people out there still using dumb terminals. 
I thought everyone was using PC's and emulation these days

There are packages out there that do this, Evergreen for one.  
I think one or two of the contributors on this list have

Hi All,

Is there a way to send e-mail from AS/400 "dumb" terminals, or 
can it only
be done from PCs or thin clients?  If it can be done from dumb 
terminals, is
it possible to send AS/400 reports as attachments?  I think I 
know what the
answer is, but I just want to make sure that I haven't 
overlooked anything.
