Hi All,

Our client requires an Inventory Application.  Production Planning, Sales & Distrubition and Finance modules to be developed later.

These applications require web enablement. i.e. many reports needs to be viewed on the web. A messaging system is also required. IBM has suggested using Lotus Notes/Domino for application development. Meaning Lotus Notes is going to replace RPG/ JAVA as an application development tool. But guys who have worked on Lotus Notes tell me that Notes cannot be used for business application development. They say that Business Application Development has to take place using tools like RPG/JAVA etc. and Lotus can be used for web+messaging part.

Can anybody suggest ways of going ahead?

Thanks in Advance
Vijosh
